The Penn Quakers have been hot with three straight wins to their credit after downing Miami (FL) 89-75 on Tuesday. Penn took a 14 point lead at the half and traded baskets the rest of the way behind a 59.6%-49.1% shooting edge including 13-23 from long range.
Michael Wang led all scorers with 23 points and four pulls on 9-12 accuracy including 5-6 from beyond the arc while the Quakers received 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists on 9-15 from the floor from AJ Brodeur. Devon Goodman gave Penn 16 points and four helpers on 6-10 shooting following by a ten point, six board and five assist effort from Jake Silpe.
The La Salle Explorers have suffered through a brutal start to 2018-19 that has the team sitting at 0-9 after a 92-79 loss to visiting Bucknell. La Salle allowed 55.8% shooting and countered at 33.8% to negate 13 more looks at the basket.
Jack Clark was the Explorers top offensive weapon with 21 points and five pulls on 4-8 from the floor and 10-12 at the stripe. Jamir Moultrie and Miles Brookins gave La Salle 19 points each on 12-23 from the field while Ed Crosswell added eleven points, 14 rebounds and three steals on 4-11 shooting.
Penn are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall. La Salle are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 Saturday games and over is 19-7 in La Salle last 26 non-conference games and La Salle are 16-37-1 ATS in their last 54 games overall. Road team is 8-2-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.
