The Jacksonville Dolphins clash with the Liberty Flames in the first round of the Atlantic Sun tournament.

The Jacksonville Dolphins ended the regular season with a 77-74 defeat at the hands of visiting Florida Gulf Coast on Friday night.

JD Notae was the Dolphins top option with 29 points, five pulls and five helpers with Jalyn Hinton tossing in eleven points and grabbing four boards

Dave Bell gave Jacksonville another eleven points followed by Aamahne Santos with nine points and three assists while DeAnthony McCallum chipped in with six points.

Jacksonville finished 7thin the conference but finished the year with four straight losses and missed an opportunity to move up the standings.

The Liberty Flames knocked off the  New Jersey Tech Highlanders 57-51 in the season finale’ as a 4.5 point road favorite.

Scottie James carried Liberty with 19 points and eleven rebounds with Lovell Cabbil Jr. netting 15 points and posting five boards.

The Flames received eight points from Elijah Cuffee followed by Caleb Homesley and Darius McGhee with seven and six points respectively.

Liberty shared first place in the Atlantic Sun with Lipscomb behind a fearsome defense that allowed just 60.5 points to rank 6thin the country.
