Lipscomb Bisons -25.5 O/U: 149
The Kennesaw State Owls and the Lipscomb Bisons will meet up on the college basketball circuit in the Atlantic Sun Tournament Monday.
Kennesaw State enters this game at 6-25 on the year. After a five-game losing streak to North Florida, Lipscomb, North Alabama, FGCU and Liberty, the Owls won their last game against Stetson on Friday.
In the win over the Hatters, Kennesaw State’s Tyler Hooker led the team on 36 points with seven rebounds and two assists. Kosta Jankovic also finished in double-figures for the Owls in that one with 15 points and four boards.
Over on the Lipscomb side, they’re 23-6 this season. After a 1-2 stretch in late February, the Bisons have won their last two outings versus NJIT 81-77 and North Alabama. 87-75.
In the win over the Lions, Lipscomb’s Rob Marberry led the team on 22 points with three rebounds. Garrison Mathews added 17 points for the Bison there, and Eli Pepper posted 10 rebounds and nine points.
The Owls are 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and 8-18 ATS in their last 26 overall. Kennesaw State is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last four Monday games.
Meanwhile, the Bisons are 0-5 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and 0-5 ATS in their last five home games. Lipscomb is 0-6 ATS in their last six overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four after a straight-up win.
During that five-game losing streak, the Owls had trouble doing much of anything. Kennesaw State put up a high of 67 points in that span, and they finished below 60 points three times.
Lipscomb won a road game 83-67 the last time these teams met up on February 16, and I don’t see things going too differently here. I’ll stick with the Bisons on the cover, even though they’re ice cold ATS right now.
