LMU Lions -6
The Pacific Tigers and the Loyola Marymount Lions will meet up in college basketball action on Thursday.
The Tigers are sitting at 12-10 on the year. Following two straight losses versus San Francisco and Santa Clara, Pacific managed a 74-70 win in their last outing against Portland.
In the win over the Pilots, Pacific’s top scorer was Roberto Gallinat with 16 points and seven rebounds. Jeremiah Bailey logged 12 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers there and Lafayette Dorsey chipped in 11 points.
Over on the Loyola Marymount side, they’re 15-6 this season. The Lions are just 2-3 in their last five, falling to Saint Mary’s, Gonzaga and San Diego but taking out Pepperdine and Santa Clara in that time.
In the win over the Broncos, LMU’s lead scorer was James Batemon, with 20 points, two rebounds and one assist. Dameane Douglas doubled up for the Lions in that game, logging 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
The Tigers are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 Thursday games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games versus a team with a winning home record. Pacific is 1-4 ATS in the last five road games and the under is 5-1 in their last six overall.
Meanwhile, the Lions are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 0-5 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win. LMU is 0-4 ATS in their last four after an ATS win and the over is 5-0-2 in their last seven home games.
It’s been a pretty rough stretch of games for Pacific, as they’ve lost five of their last seven appearances and haven’t been scoring especially well during most of that time.
The good news for the Tigers is that LMU hasn’t been putting up the points either, and they haven’t hit 70 in four of their last five games.
There’s not a whole lot to like here except maybe the under, but Pacific is probably the more reliable team ATS right this second and I’m not going to overthink it. I’ll take the Tigers.
