In a game that featured little defense, Marshall was able to pull away for the victory in the 2nd half after an 8-2 Thundering Herd run gave Marshall an 88-80 lead with 1:40 left in regulation. Marshall shot 48.2% from the field and won the turnover battle by a 16-9 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Thundering Herd was C.J. Burks who had 20 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, and 6 steals.

Offensively, Marshall has been led by Jon Elmore (19.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 4.9 apg, 1.6 spg), C.J. Burks (18.0 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.9 spg), Jannson Williams (9.2 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.2 bpg), and Taevion Kinsey (9.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.3 apg).
Defensively, Marshall is allowing their opponents to average 83.1 ppg on 47.3% shooting from the field. The Thundering Herd have a rebound margin of -10.4 and a turnover margin of 4.1.
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs won their 3rd straight game and improved to 18-10 (8-7 C-USA) on the season after defeating the North Texas Mean Green, 66-53, this past Saturday. Louisiana Tech went into halftime trailing by a 34-20 margin, however, dominated the Mean Green on both ends of the court in the 2nd half and pulled away after taking a 59-50 lead with 1:15 left in regulation. Louisiana Tech shot just 39.7% from the field and 18.8% from beyond the arc, however, did win the turnover battle by a 21-9 margin in the victory.

Offensively, Louisiana Tech has been led by DaQuan Bracey (15.1 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.3 spg), Anthony Duruji (12.3 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.3 bpg), Amorie Archibald (10.1 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 3.0 apg), and JaColby Pemberton (10.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.3 apg).
Defensively, Louisiana Tech is holding their opponents to an average of 67.1 ppg on 42.7% shooting from the field. The Bulldogs have a rebound margin of 1.7 and a turnover margin of 1.9.
The Thundering Herd are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win and just 1-12 ATS in their last 13 games vs. C-USA opponents. The Bulldogs are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 home games and 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
Marshall has lost 7 of their last 9 games and although they can put up points as the Thundering Herd rank 40th in scoring offense, Marshall has really struggled defensively as they come into this game ranked just 347th in scoring defense and 334th in defensive FG%.
Louisiana Tech has won 5 of their last 8 games and currently rank T-169th in scoring offense, 66th in scoring defense, and 114th in defensive FG%.
Marshall has one of the better scoring duos in the C-USA in Jon Elmore & C.J. Burks, however, the Thundering Herd have really struggled this season as this a team that has no defense and consistently has been killed on the boards. Louisiana Tech defeated Marshall by a 89-80 margin in OT on the road earlier this season and as the Bulldogs have been lights out ATS at home as of late, I think Louisiana Tech does enough to cover this spread at home. Good Luck!
