Louisiana Tech Bulldogs -11.5 O/U: 130.5
The UTEP Miners and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will meet up in college basketball action on Thursday.
The Miners enter this game with an 8-15 mark on the year. Following three straight losses versus Marshall, Western Kentucky and Florida Atlantic, UTEP managed a win over FIU in their last outing.
In the win over the Panthers, UTEP’s top scorer was Nigel Hawkins’ 20 points with two rebounds and two assists. Efe Odigie led the rebounding for the Miners in that one, hauling in 15 with six points and two assists.
Over on the Louisiana Tech side, they’re 15-10 this year. The Bulldogs have lost their last three straight games, dropping to Florida Atlantic, FIU and Southern Miss in that stretch.
In the OT loss to the Eagles, Louisiana Tech’s DaQuan Brace and Amorie Archibald each posted 13 points, with three assists and five rebounds between them. JaColby Pemberton led the scoring for the Bulldogs there with 17 points and eight boards.
UTEP is 19-9 ATS in their last 28 following a straight-up win and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 Thursday games. The Miners are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six Thursday games. LA Tech is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 versus CUSA and 6-15 ATS in their last 21 after a straight-up loss.
UTEP had a pretty good game versus FIU overall, and led most of the way en route to an 85-75 result. Still, the Miners have had trouble scoring on the whole lately, with fewer than 60 points in four of their last six.
The Bulldogs haven’t been great on the scoreboard either, and if the line weren’t so thick I’d give them the benefit of the doubt on the home lift. That said, I have to go UTEP Here.
