Loyola Greyhounds -4.5 O/U: 152.5
The Lafayette Leopards and the Loyola Greyhounds will meet up on the college basketball court Sunday.
Lafayette comes in here with an 8-16 mark on the year. Following a four-game losing streak, the Leopards have won their last three straight outings, taking out Boston U, Holy Cross and Navy during that time.
In the win over the Midshipmen, Lafayette guard Justin Jaworski led the team on 19 points with four assists and two rebounds. Paulius Zalys added 15 points with four rebounds and five assists for the Leopards in that one as well.
Over on the Loyola side, they’re 9-17 this season. After losing four straight to American, Navy, Bucknell and Colgate, the Greyhounds finally got another win in their last outing versus American 86-84.
In that win over the Eagles, Loyola’s lead scorer was Andrew Kostecka with 31 points, three assists and one rebound. Casmir Ochiaka added a double-double for the Greyhounds in that one with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The Leopards are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 5-0 ATS in the last five after a straight-up win. Lafayette is 4-0 ATS in their last four road games versus a team with a winning home record and the over is 4-1 in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Greyhounds are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 home games. Loyola is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 overall and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 versus the Patriot League.
During this three-game win streak, the Leopards have been scoring at a pretty good clip, with at least 69 in each game and at least 79 in two of the three.
That said, the Greyhounds have been putting up some nice points totals as well, though their results have been different in the win/loss columns. Still, with the home lift I like Loyola to bang out a cover here.
