LSU Tigers -6.5 O/U: 141
The Florida Gators and the LSU Tigers will match up on the college basketball circuit Wednesday.
Florida comes in here with a 14-11 mark on the year. Following a three-game losing streak to Kentucky, Auburn and Tennessee, the Gators have won their last pair versus Vanderbilt and Alabama.
In the Gators’ win over Alabama, the team’s top scorer was Andrew Nembhard with 21 points, two assists and two rebounds. Doubling up was Keyontae Johnson with 14 points and 13 rebounds for Florida there as well.
Over on the LSU side, they’re 21-4 this season. The Tigers are sitting on a four-game win streak, beating Mississippi State, Auburn, Kentucky and Georgia during that time.
In the win over the Bulldogs, LSU’s Tremont Waters put up 20 points with five assists and one rebound to lead the team. Ja’vonte Smart logged 19 points for the Tigers in that one and Naz Reid had 13 points with six rebounds.
The Gators are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS win and 1-6 ATS in their last seven versus the SEC. Florida is 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine Wednesday games and 1-7 ATS in their last eight overall.
Meanwhile, LSU is 5-0 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 versus the SEC. The Tigers are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 overall and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 after a straight-up win.
Florida had a tough stretch of schedule for a few games—and prior to that had a couple they should have won mixed into a series of games—but since then they’ve looked solid and taken care of business in the last pair.
That said, LSU is simply on another tier, and coming in on a roll in a comfortable home game I have to take the Tigers on a cover here.
