LSU Tigers -11.5 O/U: 152
The Georgia Bulldogs and the LSU Tigers will meet up on the college basketball circuit Wednesday.
Georgia stumbles into this matchup at 9-8 overall. The Bulldogs are currently sitting on a three-game losing streak, falling to Auburn, Kentucky and Florida during that stretch.
In the loss to the Gators, Georgia’s only scorer in double-figures was Jordan Harris, who put up 10 points, two assists and two rebounds. Nicolas Claxton nearly doubled up for the Bulldogs though, with nine points and 12 boards.
Over on the LSU side, they’re 14-3 this season. The Tigers are riding a seven-game win streak, taking out Saint Mary’s, Furman, LA-Monrore, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and South Carolina during that time.
In the win over the Gamecocks, LSU’s lead scorers were Naz Reid and Emmitt Williams, each with 15 points. Williams doubled up for the Tigers on 13 rebounds, as did Kavell Bigby-Williams with 12 points and 11 boards.
Georgia is 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the SEC. The under is 4-1 in the Bulldogs’ last five overall and 4-0 in the last four following an ATS loss.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last four after a straight-up win and 4-0 ATS in the last four overall. LSU is 5-0-1 ATS in their last six versus the SEC and 4-1 ATS in the last five home games.
Georgia’s recent stats look pretty ugly, but keep in mind they’ve been through a really tough stretch of games playing against some of the best squads in the country.
The Bulldogs have another behemoth in LSU to contend with here, and although I’m usually leery of double-digit lines I think this one is justified. I’m going with the Tigers.
