The LSU Tigers and the Michigan State Spartans will match up on the college basketball court in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 on Friday.

LSU rolls into this one with a 28-6 mark so far. The Tigers have thus far dispatched Yale 79-74 in the First Round of this NCAA Tournament and Maryland 69-67 in the Second Round on Saturday.

In the win over the Terrapins, LSU’s top scorer was Skylar Mays with 16 points and five rebounds. Naz Reid had a solid outing for the Tigers there as well with 13 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Over on the Michigan State side, they’re 30-6 overall this year. After blowing through the Big Ten Tournament, the Spartans have taken out Bradley and Minnesota in the NCAA Tournament so far.

In the win over the Gophers, Michigan State’s lead scorer was Xavier Tillman on 14 points with six rebounds and one assist. Cassius Winston added 13 points, nine addicts and four rebounds while four other players scored nine points for the Spartans.

The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Big Ten and 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games. LSU is 1-4-1 ATS in their last six neutral-site games and 2-11-1 ATS in their last 14 Friday games.

Meanwhile, the Spartans are 24-9 ATS in their last 33 overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven neutral-site games. Michigan State is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 after an ATS win and 1-4 ATS in their last five NCAA Tournament games.

LSU was up 38-29 at halftime versus the Terrapins, then fought off a second-half surge to take a last-second 69-67 victory in a thriller. Four of LSU’s last five games have been decided by five points or fewer, and the Tigers have come out on the winning end in three of those.

As for the Spartans, they’re on a nice seven-game win streak—including two victories over powerhouse rival Michigan—and not showing signs of slowing down. I don’t think the line is unreasonable here, so I’m going Spartans all the way.
