The Fairfield Stags butt heads with the Manhattan Jaspers in the MAAC playoffs in Thursday college basketball action.

The Fairfield Stags head in to the conference playoffs off of a 62-52 loss at the Saint Peter’s Peacocks as a one point favorite on Sunday.

Neftali Alvarez was the Stags lone double digit scorer with 16 points, three yanks and four assists while Jonathan Kasibabu with eight points and six boards.

The twosome of Taj Benning and Landon Taliaferro gave Fairfield eight points each followed by Matija Milin with seven points and four pulls.

Fairfield won two of three to close the regular season and that helped to avoid the conference basement although the team is still relegated to a first round game.

The Manhattan Jaspers ended the regular season with a 62-58 victory at the Quinnipiac Bobcats as a 7.5 point underdog on Sunday afternoon.

Tyler Reynolds led a balanced Jaspers attack with 12 points with Warren Williams adding eleven points and grabbing four boards.

Manhattan saw ten points, seven rebounds and four helpers from Nehemiah Mack followed by Tyler Greene with eight points and another seven boards.

FairfieldStags are 7-15-2 ATS in their last 24 neutral site games and Fairfield are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall and Fairfield are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic.

ManhattanJaspers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall and  are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic and  are 20-9 ATS in their last 29 neutral site games.

Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
