The Niagara Purple Eagles had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 11-12 (4-6 MAAC) on the season after being defeated by the Quinnipiac Bobcats, 84-73, this past Sunday. Niagara struggled offensively against the Bobcats defense and couldn’t fight back after a 15-4 Quinnipiac run gave the Bobcats a 74-63 lead with 3:47 left in regulation. The Purple Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Friday games, however, just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a double-digit loss at home. The Red Foxes are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win.
Niagara has won 3 of their last 5 games and currently rank 178th in scoring offense, 265th in scoring defense, and 295th in defensive FG%.
Marist has lost 3 of their last 5 games and currently rank 283rd in scoring offense, 136th in FG%, and 161st in scoring defense.
Niagara is a decent team at home, however, it’s been a struggle for the Purple Eagles on the road this season as they currently are just 1-3 in road conference games this season. Marist has been playing well defensively as of late and as I think their three-point shooting will find some success at home agianst the Purple Eagles defense, I’m taking Marist to cover this small home spread.
