The Saint Peter’s Peacocks meet the Marist Red Foxes in the MAAC college basketball playoffs.

Saint Peter’s kicks off the MAAC postseason off of a 62-52 victory against the Fairfield Stags as a one point home dog on Sunday.

Samuel Idowu led all scorers with 21 points and 12 rebounds with NC Ndefo giving the Peacocks 15 points and nine boards.

Saint Peter’s received nine points, six pulls and three assists followed by Davauhnte Turner who tossed in seven points and handed out four assists.

The Peacocks were playing their best basketball of the year heading in to the postseason with wins in three of four and look to carry that momentum forward.

The  Marist  Red  Foxes were  handed  a 75-64  defeat  at the  hands of the visiting Rider Broncs on Sunday as a two underdog.

Brian Parker topped the Red Foxes with 19 points and four pulls followed by Ryan Funk who netted 16 points and snagged two boards.

Marist received eleven points and six rebounds from Austin Williams while Tobias Sjoberg chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.

The Red Foxes limped to the finish line with four consecutive losses to finish 7thin the conference standings and miss out on a higher seed.

St. Peter’s Peacocks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games and  are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win and  are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.

Marist Red Foxes are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Thursday games and  are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and  are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic.

St. Peter’s Peacocks are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings.

Marist slumped to end the regular season and the Peacocks were playing well but I’ll take the Red Foxes to continue their season...
