Marquette Golden Eagles -6 O/U: 151
The Seton Hall Pirates and the Marquette Golden Eagles will meet up in college basketball activity on Saturday.
Seton Hall enters this one at 12-4 on the year. The Pirates had a seven-game win streak broken by DePaul, but were able to come back and eke out a 76-75 win over Butler in their last appearance.
In the win over the Bulldogs, Seton Hall’s top scorer was Myles Powell, with 31 points, three rebounds and one assist. Quincy McKnight was the only other Pirate in double-figures (10 points; six rebounds), but every player on the team who stepped on the court scored.
Over on the Marquette side, they’re 13-3 this season. The Eagles
In the OT win over the Bluejays, Marquette’s Markus Howard put up an astonishing 53 points with six assists and two rebounds, while Sam Hauser (10 rebounds) and Joey Hauser (five rebounds) each scored 13 points for the Eagles.
The Pirates are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall. The over is 11-2 in Seton Hall’s last 13 road games and 5-1 in their last six overall.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games and 6-1 ATS in the last seven overall. Marquette is 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 4-1 in their last five following an ATS win.
Seton Hall already has a few signature wins on their resume this year, and they’ve proven that they belong on the court with anyone in the country. This will be the latest in a handful of ranked tests for the Pirates, and no one doubts their readiness.
Marquette had a tough time with the pesky Bluejays in their last appearance, which was the first real test they’ve had in a while.
I like Seton Hall to come in here and give the Eagles a bit of trouble. I’m going to stick with the Pirates on the cover.
