Saturday college basketball brings us a matchup between the FIU Golden Panthers and the Marshall Thundering Herd.

The Florida International Golden Panthers scored a last second 77-76 victory at Western Kentucky as a ten point underdog Thursday.

FIU appeared to be in trouble with a nine point deficit at the break and were outshot 50.9%-42.9% but prevailed with a 24-13 edge at the line.

Osaumwen Osaghae led the Golden Panthers with 16 points and ten rebounds followed by a 15 point effort from Antonio Daye Jr..

Brian Beard Jr. gave Florida International 14 points  and four pulls while Willy Nunez Jr. and Devon Andrews added 12 and eleven points with Andrews hauling in nine rebounds.

The Marshall Thundering Herd have been heating up with four wins in a row after defeating Florida Atlantic 96-84 on Thursday as an eleven point home favorite.

Marshall had too much offense for the Owls to deal with as CJ Burks poured in 30 points with five pulls and six rebounds followed by a 29 point, seven assist effort by Jon Elmore.

Jannson Williams gave the Thundering Herd eleven points and five boards while Rondale Watson and Mikel Beyers combined for 17 points.

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
