Saturday college basketball pits the Toledo Rockets at the Marshall Thundering Herd.
The red hot Toledo Rockets have won six straight following a 101-57 rout of Detroit on Wednesday as a 15 point home favorite. Toledo carried a 22 point lead in to the break and never looked back with a 51.6%-31.9% shooting edge and 16 more makes at the charity stripe.
Nate Navigato led the Rockets scoring spree with 19 points, five pulls and six assists followed by Chris Darrington with 16 points and four yanks on 4-5 accuracy and 6-6 at the line. Spencer Littleson gave Toledo 14 points on 5-8 from the field while Marreon Jackson and Willie Jackson tossing in 13 and 12 points respectively with Willie Jackson hauling in 15 rebounds.
The Marshall Thundering Herd are out to avoid a third straight defeat after falling 93-82 at Duquesne on Wednesday. Marshall faced a ten point deficit after 20 minutes but could not stop the Dukes who owned a 57.9%-45.9% shooting edge.
CJ Burks carried the Thundering Herd with a contest high 26 points and five helpers on 10-15 marksmanship followed by a 12 point effort from Rondale Watson. Jon Elmore gave Marshall ten points and four assists with Taevion Kinsey adding eight points and four pulls.
