Miami Hurricanes -7.5 O/U: 143
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Miami Hurricanes will meet up in college basketball’s ACC Tournament on Tuesday.
Miami enters this one with a 13-17 mark overall. The Hurricanes have lost three of their last four games, taking out Pittsburgh and falling to Wake Forest, Duke and Virginia Tech in that time.
In the Virginia Tech game, Miami’s Ebuka Izundu and Chris Lykes each posted 16 points, alongside 12 total assists and seven rebounds between them. Anthony Lawrence helped out the Hurricanes with 16 points and 11 boards there as well.
Over on the Wake Forest side, they’re 11-19 this year. The Deacons have lost four of their last five games, dropping to NC State, Syracuse, Duke and Florida State (with a win over Miami) in that time.
In the Seminoles game, Wake’s lead scorer was Brandon Chlidress with 13 points, five rebounds and one assist. Chaundee Brown helped out the Demon Deacons in that one with 11 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
The Deacons are 4-0 ATS in their last four Tuesday games and 4-0 ATS in their last four after a straight-up loss. Wake is 17-35-2 ATS in their last 54 after an ATS win and 10-25 ATS in their last 35 versus the ACC.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are 5-1 ATS in their last six after a straight-up loss and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 after an ATS loss. Miami is 1-7 ATS in their last eight neutral-site games and the over is 4-0 in their last four versus a team with a losing straight-up record.
These two teams have split their pair of meetings this season, with the home team winning each game. Miami won 76-65 back on January 12 and Wake took theirs 76-75 on February 26.
Outside of the Duke game, Miami has been scoring pretty well lately and should put up some points here. Wake has had a few stumbles over their last handful of games, but they should be able to score well in this one also. When the dust settles, I think Miami has a slight edge but it should be a close one.
