The Central Michigan Chippewas go on the road to face the Miami (OH) Redhawks in Saturday college basketball action.
The surging Central Michigan Chippewas begin conference play off of a 123-76 rout of sub-division Indiana University South Bend.
Central Michigan was never challenged with 64.2% shooting with 19 forced turnovers while going 16-33 from beyond the arc.
David DiLeo topped the Chippewas with 24 points and five pulls with Larry Austin Jr. adding 23 points, six rebounds and eight helpers followed by an 18 point effort from Matt Beachler.
Dallas Morgan gave CMU 17 points and Robert Montgomery tossed in 16 points while Romelo Burrell and Shawn Roundtree combined for 21 points with Roundtree handing out eleven helpers.
The Miami (OH) Redhawks have been turning it on with wins in five of six after upending visiting Evansville 70-67 as a seven point favorite. Miami (OH) did not shoot the ball well at 38.1% but prevailed over the 46.9% shooting Purple Aces because of 14 more shots.
Dalonte Brown carried the Redhawks attack with 16 points and four pulls on 5-15 from the floor and 4-6 at the line while Mekhi Lairy added 14 points, four yanks and four helpers on 5-11 shooting and 4-4 at the stripe.
Abdoulaye Harouna gave Miami (OH) eight points with Bam Bowman adding eight points and 13 rebounds.
