Millett Hall will come alive on Tuesday evening as the Kent State Golden Flashes and the Miami RedHawks meet up on the college basketball court.

Kent State comes into this one at 7-8 on the season. The Golden Flashes have won two of their last four games, most recently beating Central Michigan on Saturday. In that game, Kent State’s Jaylin Walker put up 26 points.

Walker is the leading scorer for the Golden Flashes on 18.3 PPG, while Adonis De La Rosa has 11.7 PPG with a team-high 7.5 RPG. Also in double-figures for Kent State are Kevin Zabo (10.5 PPG) and Jalen Avery (10.0 PPG).

Over on the Miami side, they’re sitting at 8-7 this year. The RedHawks have lost three of their last four games, most recently to Western Michigan on Saturday. In that Western Michigan matchup, Miami guard Darrian Ringo had 14 points.

Nike Sibande is the only Miami player in double-figures this year, with 13.7 PPG and 4.0 RPG to his name. That said, Ringo (9.6 PPG), Logan McLane (9.5 PPG; 6.2 RPG) and Jalen Adawa (9.2 PPG; 5.8 RPG) are close to that threshold for the RedHawks.

Kent State is 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a straight up win and 5-1 in their last six versus the Mid-American. The Flashes are also 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS win and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games.

Meanwhile, the RedHawks are 4-0 ATS in their last four Tuesday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven following a straight-up loss. Miami is also 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall and the under is 9-2 in their last 11 home games.

Kent State has shown a few “flashes” this year, but on the whole they’ve been pretty disappointing despite a decent set of guys on offense. The Golden Flashes have given up quite a few points lately; at least 75 in four of their last five. Still, they’re trending better than the Redhawks right now, as Miami has been struggling since last month. I’ll take Kent State here.

Kent State Golden Flashes PK
