The Toledo Rockets go on the road to take the floor with the Miami (OH) Redhawks in a MAC college basketball tilt.
The Toledo Rockets have proven to be the most consistent team in the MAC West and their reward is first in the division. Toledo comes in off of an 82-77 victory versus the visiting Northern Illinois Huskies where the team was outshot 50%-44.2% but survived on a 25-5 advantage at the stripe.
Jaelan Sanford topped the Rockets offense with 22 points on 6-14 from the floor and 8-10 at the strip followed by Tre’Shaun Fletcher with 20 points, six boards and five assists on 7-10 accuracy. Luke Knapke gave Toledo 14 points on 3-7 from the field with Marreon adding 13 points and six rebounds on 3-6.
The Miami (OH) Redhawks will be looking for consistency going forward as the team positions themselves for the conference playoffs. Miami (OH) was heading in the right direction with consecutive wins before falling at Western Michigan by a 68-64 count. The box score was even throughout with the Broncos hitting an extra long ball.
