NC State is also shooting 68.5% from the foul line this season.
The Miami Hurricanes will look to build on their current 3-game winning streak after picking up a 73-62 win over Campbell in their last outing. Zach Johnson led the ‘Canes with 22 points on 5 of 6 shooting from behind the arc and a 7 of 9 mark from the foul line while Chris Lykes chipped in 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting with 4 triples and a pair of steals. NC State is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 road games. Miami is 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games overall and 11-29 ATS in their last 40 home games while the over is 15-5 in their last 20 games against a team with a winning record. The road team is 9-4-2 ATS in the last 15 meetings between these two teams.
A home dog is always a tempting proposition, but I think NC State being favored on the road goes to speak to a couple of things. First, home court hasn’t really mattered for Miami, both in this matchup and overall as the Hurricanes have had issues covering at home for a couple of seasons now and the road team has covered or pushed in 11 of the last 15 meetings between the two teams. NC State lost their only true road game so far this season, but it was a nailbiting 4-point loss to Wisconsin. I have the Badgers on a completely different tier than Miami right now, and as such, I think the Wolfpack ride their dynamic offense to a road win and cover in this one.
