The Michigan State Spartans take on Big Ten rival the Minnesota Golden Gophers in second round NCAA college basketball.
The Michigan State Spartans rode a big second half to defeat the Bradley Braves 76-65 as a 17.5 point favorite to advance to round two.
Both teams sank shots in the 42% range with the Braves hitting nine long balls to stay competitive but the Spartans were a deadly 25-26 at the stripe to pull away late.
Cassius Winston carried Michigan State with a game high 26 points with three yanks and four helpers while Xavier Tillman netted 16 points and hauled in eleven rebounds.
The Spartans received ten points from Matt McQuaid followed by Aaron Henry and Nick Ward with eight points each and eight boards.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers moved on to the second round of the NCAA tournament after upending the Louisville Cardinals 86-76 as a 5.5 point underdog.

Gabe Kalscheur carried the Golden Gophers with a game high 24 points and eight rebounds with Jordan Murphy tossing in 18 points and snagging six boards.
