Michigan State Spartans -13 O/U: 137.5
The Nebraska Cornhuskers will visit the Michigan State Spartans in college basketball action on Tuesday.
Nebraska currently clocks in at 15-14 on the year. Following consecutive wins last month, the Cornhuskers have lost their last three straight games versus Penn State, Purdue and Michigan.
In the loss to Michigan, Nebraska’s lead scorer was Nana Akenten, with 11 points and two rebounds. The only other Cornhuskers player in double-figures there was Glynn Watson on 10 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Over on the Michigan State side, they’re 23-6 overall this year. After a nice five-game win streak versus Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Rutgers and Michigan, the Spartans dropped their last game versus Indiana.
In the loss to the Hoosiers, Michigan State’s Cassius Winston led the way on 20 points with 11 assists and five rebounds. Xavier Tillman also doubled up for the Spartans in that loss with 11 points and 10 rebounds of his own.
The Cornhuskers are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 Tuesday games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine after an ATS loss. Nebraska is 2-10 ATS in their last 12 overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Spartans are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight after an ATS loss. Michigan State is 13-5 ATS in their last 18 versus the Big Ten and 33-16 ATS in their last 49 after a straight-up loss.
Nebraska has faced some tough teams lately, and aside from the 75-72 near-miss versus Purdue on February 23, they haven’t been close in any of their recent losses.
As for Michigan State, they came out flat in the second half versus Indiana following that big win over Michigan, and it cost them in a 63-62 loss that will ding their reputation on the national stage. Still, the Spartans are in complete control here and shouldn’t have too much trouble banging out a cover.
