Michigan State Spartans -12.5 O/U: 137.5
The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan State Spartans will meet up on the college basketball circuit Sunday.
Ohio State comes into this game with a 16-8 mark on the year. The Buckeyes had a three-game win streak going versus Rutgers, Penn State and Indiana, but lost their last outing to Illinois.
In their loss to the Illini, Ohio State’s CJ Jackson led the team on 17 points with five rebounds and two assists. Kaleb Wesson added 11 points and five rebounds for the Buckeyes there, and Andre Wesson put up 10 points with five rebounds.
Over on the Michigan State side, they’re currently 20-5 on the season. After three straight losses to Purdue, Indiana and Illinois, the Spartans have won their last pair against Minnesota and Wisconsin.
In the win over the Badgers, Michigan State’s Cassius Winston led the way on 23 points with six rebounds and six assists. Nick Ward and Kenny Goins each added 12 points for the Spartans in that one, combining for 15 rebounds as well.
The Buckeyes are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 versus the Big Ten and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 overall. Ohio State is 6-15 ATS in their last 21 versus a team with a winning straight-up record and the under is 5-0 in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Spartans are 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 versus the Big Ten. Michigan State is 17-5 ATS in their last 22 overall and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 after an ATS win.
Ohio State was punched in the mouth by a revitalized Illinois team in their last outing, falling at home 63-56. That makes just 111 points scored across the last two games for Ohio State, a team that’s not super consistent when it comes to offense anyway.
As for the Spartans, they were surprised by the Illini as well back on February 5, but since have looked better in their last pair. I’m going to stick with the better team at home here in Michigan State.
