Michigan State Spartans -5.5 O/U: 129.5
The Wisconsin Badgers and the Michigan State Spartans will meet up on the college basketball court in the Big Ten Tournament Saturday.
Wisconsin enters this one with a 23-9 record overall. The Badgers won three straight games to finish the regular season, then took out Nebraska on Friday in the first round of the conference tournament.
In the win over the Cornhuskers, Wisconsin’s Khalil Iverson and Nathan Reuvers each bagged 14 points to lead the team, and combined for a total of six assists and eight rebounds during that game.
Over on the Michigan State side, they’re 26-6 overall this year. The Spartans took out Nebraska and Michigan to finish pre-tournament play, then beat Ohio State 77-70 in the first round Friday.
In the victory over the Buckeyes, Michigan State’s top scorer was Cassius Winston on 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Foster Loyer added 14 points with three assists for the Spartans in that one as well.
The Badgers are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 after a straight-up win and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss. Wisconsin is 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine overall and 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine versus the Big Ten.
Meanwhile, the Spartans are 7-2 ATS in their last nine after an ATS loss and 21-8 ATS in their last 29 overall. Michigan State is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 versus the Big Ten.
Wisconsin slowed down a bit in the second half against Nebraska, but in the end they moved on with a 66-62 victory. The Badgers haven’t necessarily been blowing teams out lately, but they’re getting the job done.
As for Michigan State, they’re on a great run since falling to Indiana on March 2, and they’ve put up at least 75 points in all three games. I’m going to go with the Spartans on the cover here.
