Ann Arbor, Michigan
Michigan Wolverines -12.5 O/U: 130
The Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Michigan Wolverines will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.
Nebraska enters this game at 15-13 on the season. Following consecutive wins over Minnesota and Northwestern, the Cornhuskers have lost the last two outings versus Penn State and Purdue.
In the loss to the Boilermakers, Nebraska’s Glynn Watson led the team with 25 points and four rebounds. The only other Cornhuskers player in double-figures there was James Palmer on 15 points, eight assists and four rebounds.
Over on the Michigan side, they’re 24-4 on the year. The Wolverines are 2-2 in the last four games, taking out Maryland and Minnesota while dropping to Penn State and Michigan State in that time.
In the Spartans game, Michigan’s Zavier Simpson was the top scorer on the team with 19 points, five rebounds and two assists. Jon Teske doubled up on 10 points with 11 rebounds, and Ignaz Brazdeikis chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds.
Nebraska is 2-9 ATS in the last 11 overall and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 versus the Big Ten. The Cornhuskers are also 1-6 ATS in the last seven Thursday games and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games.
Meanwhile, the Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games. Michigan is 38-14-2 ATS in their last 54 Thursday games and 35-15-1 ATS in their last 51 versus the Big Ten.
Nebraska’s not known as a higher-scoring team, but they’ve put up some solid numbers—perhaps out of necessity—in their last two games. The Cornhuskers have 143 total scored across their last pair.
That said, I don’t see Nebraska doing much here offensively. Michigan has lost some of their luster recently with a few losses, but they’re still a much higher-caliber team. I’m going with the Wolverines on the cover.
