Michigan Wolverines -2 O/U: 126

The Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Michigan Wolverines will meet up on the college basketball court in the Sweet 16 Round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday.

Texas Tech enters this one at 28-6 overall on the year. The Raiders fell to West Virginia in the Big 12 Tournament but since have beaten Northern Kentucky and Buffalo in the Big Dance.

In the win over the Bulls, Texas Tech’s Jarrett Culver led the way on 16 points with 11 rebounds and five assists. Also with a double-double for the Raiders in that one was Noresne Odiase with 14 points and 14 rebounds in the victory.

Over on the Michigan side, they’re 30-6 overall on the year. The Wolverines have two victories in the NCAA Tournament so far, in the first round versus Montana and in the Second Round versus Florida.

In the win over the Gators, Michigan’s top scorer was Jordan Poole with 19 points, four rebounds and one assist. Jon Teske added 10 rebounds, eight points and two assists for the Wolverines in that one as well.

The Raiders are 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the Big Ten and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 overall. Texas Tech is 4-1 ATS in their last five NCAA Tournament games and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 Thursday games.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six NCAA Tournament games. Michigan is 40-14-2 ATS in their last 56 Thursday games and 42-19-4 ATS in their last 65 neutral-site games.

Michigan pulled away from Florida in the second half and ended up with a 64-49 victory, but realistically the Gators had been pretty “blah” late in the season and really had no business trying to hang with the Wolverines.

Texas Tech will be a different animal however, as they’ve got all kinds of offense and can stick with just about anybody. This will be a tough one to call, but I’m leaning toward the Raiders on the cover here.

Andrew’s Pick Texas Tech Red Raiders +2
