Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders +4.5 O/U: 135.5
The UAB Blazers and the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders will meet up on the college basketball court Wednesday.
UAB comes into this one at 14-7 overall on the season. The Blazers have won their last four outings, taking out UTEP, UTSA, North Texas and Rice during that stretch of games.
In the win over the Owls, UAB’s lead scorer was Zack Bryant, on 30 points, five rebounds and three assists. Jeremiah Bell added 17 points, three rebounds and three assists for the Blazers in that one as well.
Over on the Middle Tennessee side, they’re 5-16 on the season. Following two straight wins over UTSA and UTEP, the Raiders have lost their last two appearances versus Rice and North Texas.
In the loss to the Mean Green, Middle Tennessee’s only scorer in double-figures was Reggie Scurry, with 15 points and three rebounds. Donovan Sims was the next-highest points tally with eight alongside five assists and five rebounds.
UAB is 3-0-1 ATS in their last four overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four versus CUSA. The Blazers are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six following a straight-up win and 9-24-1 ATS in their last 34 road games.
Meanwhile, the Raiders are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 versus CUSA and 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games. MTSU is 5-18 ATS in their last 23 overall and 3-12 ATS in their last 15 after a straight-up loss.
UAB is on a pretty nice run over this last quartet, and aside from the 52-49 affair versus North Texas (still a great road win), their offense has been putting up some pretty good numbers overall—89 versus Rice and 83 versus UTSA, specifically.
As for MTSU, they’ve been sputtering for most of the year, and I don’t see them getting close here—even with the home lift. I’m sticking with the Blazers in this one.
