We have some C-USA college basketball action on tap Saturday evening, as the North Texas Mean Green take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders.

Roosevelt Smart led the team with 18 points along with a team-high 8 rebounds, while DJ Draper added 4 triples as part of his 16 point outing, and A.J. Lawson chipped in 12 points with 7 rebounds and a team-high 4 assists. Smart leads North Texas with an average of 18.8 points per game while Lawson leads the Mean Green in rebounding with 5.6 rebounds per game and Woolridge leads North Texas in assists with 5.6 helpers per game this season. As a team, North Texas is scoring 73.5 points per game on 44.5% shooting from the field, 33.8% from behind the arc and 66.6% from the foul line this season.
The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders will look to add another notch to their current 6 game winning streak following a 94-75 victory over Rice in their last outing. Giddy Potts led the Blue Raiders with 22 points on 8 of 15 shooting with 6 threes and a team-high 7 rebounds, while Antwain Johnson came 2nd with 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting with a pair of threes. Nick King added 15 points while James Hawthorne chipped in 10 points in 16 minutes to round out the quartet of double digit scorers for Middle Tennessee in the win. Tyrik Dixon also added 8 points with a team-high 8 assists in the winning effort for the Blue Raiders. North Texas is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games overall while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games following a win. Middle Tennessee is 43-20-1 ATS in their last 64 home games and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 11-2 in their last 13 conference matchups. North Texas is 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams at Middle Tennessee.
This is a hard one to call as I wish the line was smaller but I know that Middle Tennessee has the ability to blow out North Texas if they want to as they’ve been the best team in C-USA this season. However, I’m going to take a stab with the points as the Mean Green have been extremely solid on the road ATS, and should be able to keep this one within single digits, earning some respect in the conference in the process.
