Mississippi State Bulldogs -3.5 O/U: 132
The Florida Gators and the Mississippi State Bulldogs will match up in college basketball activity on Tuesday.
Florida comes into this one with a 9-6 record overall. The Gators are 1-2 in their last three games, win a win over Arkansas sandwiched between losses to South Carolina and Tennessee in that time.
In the loss to the Volunteers, Florida’s KeVaughn Allen led the team on 18 points, one rebound and one assist while Noah Locke was the only other Gator in double-figures with 16 points on the night.
Over on the Mississippi State side, they’re 12-3 this year. Following a nice win streak, the Bulldogs have lost their last two games, falling to South Carolina and Mississippi back-to-back.
In the loss to the Rebels, Mississippi State’s Quinndary Weatherspoon logged 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists to lead the team. Lamar Peters added 16 points, and Nick Weatherspoon chipped in 11 points.
The Gators are 6-1 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss. Florida is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Tuesday games and the under is 10-1 in their last 11 road games.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 1-4 ATS in their last five Tuesday games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last five versus the SEC. The over is 4-1 in MS State’s last five overall and 6-2 in their last eight home games.
Florida looked pretty flat against the Volunteers, but given the fact that Tennessee is Tennessee—meaning they’re really good—that was to be expected. Outside of Florida State, the Gators have played reasonably well against all the ranked teams they’ve faced so far.
As for MS State, they’ve got some work to do if they want to regain a little national respect after falling to a Gamecocks team they should have annihilated and an in-state rival they could have taken out. I’m going with the Bulldogs in a bounce-back game here.
