Mississippi State Bulldogs +3 O/U: 143.5
The Kentucky Wildcats and the Mississippi State Bulldogs will meet up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Kentucky rolls into this one at 19-3 on the year. The Wildcats last lost way back on January 5 to Alabama, and since have won nine straight. Kentucky’s most recent win came Tuesday versus South Carolina.
in the win over the Gamecocks, Kentucky’s PJ Washington led the way on 20 points, five rebounds and one assist. EJ Montgomery doubled up for the Wildcats in that one with 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Reid Travis added 11 points with nine boards.
Over on the Mississippi State side, they’re 16-6 this season. The Bulldogs are 2-2 in their last four games, with wins over Auburn and Mississippi and losses to Alabama and LSU.
In the OT loss to the Tigers, Mississippi State’s Quinndary Weatherspoon led the team with 27 points, two rebounds and two assists. Reggie Perry logged a double-double for the Bulldogs there with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
The Wildcats are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 7-0 ATS in their last seven overall. Kentucky is 6-0 ATS in their last six versus the SEC And 9-3 ATS in their last 12 Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 6-2 ATS in the last eight after an ATS loss. Mississippi State is 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 versus the SEC and the over is 4-0 in their last four overall.
Looking at Mississippi State’s recent games, they’re scoring pretty well with at least 79 in each of their last four. That said, the Bulldogs did fall 76-55 to Kentucky the last time these teams met up, so you’ll want to take that into account when you look at this game as well.
The Bulldogs have been playing pretty well at home lately, and shouldn’t experience a huge blowout here. I’m going to take MS State to eke into a cover.
