The Mississippi State Bulldogs enter this tournament after winning six of their last eight games. The Bulldogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Southeastern and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Aggies are 0-6 ATS in the last 6 meetings and the underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. The under is 7-2 in Bulldogs last 9 overall. The under is 4-1 in Aggies last 5 overall.
The Texas A&M Aggies put together one of their better performances of the season in their win over Vanderbilt, getting after it defensively. The problem is those showings have been few and far between, and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are a drastic step up in competition. Mississippi State finished the season playing quality ball at both ends of the floor, which includes holding teams under 42 percent shooting in their last five games. While not always showing it, the Mississippi State Bulldogs are one of the more talented teams in the SEC and capable of making some noise in this tournament. Throw in the rest advantage, and I'll eat the chalk with the Bulldogs.
