The Line: Missouri State Bears -5 -- Over/Under:
Heading our way Wednesday from JQH Arena, we’ve got college basketball action between the Bradley Braves and the Missouri State Bears.
Bradley enters this game with an 18-11 record overall. The Braves have lost four of their last five games, including Saturday’s versus Valparaiso. In that game, Bradley forward Donte Thomas put up 19 points.
Darnell Brown is the leading scorer for Bradley this year on 13.4 PPG and 4.5 APG. Also in double-figures is Thomas with 11.2 PPG and 7.1 RPG, while Nate Kennell is close to that threshold for the Braves on 9.0 PPG.
Missouri comes into this one with a 17-12 record on the year. The Bears have lost their last two games, most recently falling to Drake on Sunday. In that one, Missouri forward Alize Johnson put up 14 points and 16 rebounds.
Johnson is the only Missouri State player in double-figures this season with 15.5 PPG and 11.7 RPG. That said, Jarrid Rhodes is pretty close to that mark for the Bears with 9.8 PPG and 4.2 RPG.
The Braves are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Wednesday games and 26-53-1 ATS in their last 80 road games. Bradley is also 1-4 ATS in the last five games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the Missouri Valley.
Meanwhile, the Bears are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 overall and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 versus the Missouri Valley. Missouri State is also 1-5 ATS in their last six home games and 1-8 ATS in the last nine following an ATS loss.
Bradley has only reached 70 points once in the last six games, and logged only 64 points versus Valparaiso in their last game. The Bears won the last game between these two teams 72-52, and I don’t think Missouri State can get much closer here. I’ll take Bradley.
