The Evansville Purple Aces go on the road to face the Missouri State Bears in a MVC college basketball bout.
The Evansville Purple Aces have been heating up in the Missouri Valley with wins in three of four after knocking off the Valparaiso Crusaders 63-59 as a 3.5 point favorite. The biggest difference came at the foul line where Evansville held a 16-5 advantage.
Ryan Taylor was the big weapon for the Purple Aces as he led all scorers with 31 points and seven rebounds on 10-23 from the floor and 9-10 at the stripe. Evansville received nine points and six boards from KJ Riley on 3-5 shooting while Dainius Chatkevicius tossed in seven points.
The Missouri State Bears had been fading badly with five straight losses before routing Indiana State 81-62 on the road. Missouri State sank shots at 48.5% and were even better defensively with 30.2% shooting allowed.
Alize Johnson carried the Bears attack as he poured in a contest high 28 points with eight boards and five assists followed by Jarred Dixon with 13 points. Missouri State saw eleven points and five pulls from Jarrid Rhodes while Obediah Church added eight points and nine rebounds.
Missouri State are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall and over is 15-4 in Missouri State last 19 Saturday games and Missouri State are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 Saturday games. Underdog is 15-4-2 ATS in the last 21 meetings and under is 8-3-1 in the last 12 meetings.
