The Monmouth Hawks welcome the Yale Bulldogs to town for a Thursday college basketball tilt.

The Yale Bulldogs have won four of five after downing Albany 71-63 as a 13.5 point home favorite. Yale took a ten point lead point to the intermission but could not put the stubborn Great Danes away despite burning the nets at 53.7%. Albany connected at 38.3% and sank four more long balls to keep the game competitive.

Paul Atkinson paced the Bulldogs scoring with a contest high 20 points and nine rebounds on 9-12 marksmanship followed by Blake Reynolds with 13 points on 5-11 from the floor. Trey Phils gave Yale 12 points and five boardson 5-7 accuracy while Jordan Bruner added seven points, 12 rebounds and eight helpers on 3-9.

The Monmouth Hawks are staring at an 0-11 record after dropping an 82-63 decision at Albany. Monmouth led by four at the halfway point before they endured a second half where nothing went favorably. 

Ray Salnave was the Hawks big gun as he poured in 25 points with seven boards and four helpers on 9-23 from the floor and 5-7 at the stripe. Mustaphe Traore gave Monmouth ten points and seven rebounds on 5-7 followed by Nick Rutherford with eight points and six boards.

Yale Bulldogs are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS loss and Yale Bulldogs are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic. Monmouth Hawks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and Monmouth Hawks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and Monmouth Hawks are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games.

My problem here is I personally would look elsewhere given the number but backing Yale looks right…
