Montana State Bobcats -12.5 O/U: 154
The Idaho Vandals and the Montana State Bobcats will match up in college basketball’s Big Sky Tournament Wednesday.
Idaho comes in here with a 5-26 mark overall. After a solid win over Sacramento State on March 2, the Vandals have dropped games to Weber State and Idaho State in consecutive games.
In the loss to the Bengals, Idaho’s Trevon Allen led the team with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Jared Rodriguez helped out the Vandals in that one with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists as well.
Over on the Montana State side, they’re 14-16 this season. Following consecutive wins over Northern AZ and Southern Utah, the Bobcats lost their last two versus Sacramento State and Portland State.
In the loss to the Vikings, Montana State was led by Tyler hall on 28 points, four rebounds and four assists. Harald Frey had a big game for the Bobcats there as well with his 27 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Idaho is 4-0 ATS in their last four after a straight-up loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. The Vandals are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Big Sky and 1-4 ATS in their last five neutral-site games.
Meanwhile, the Bobcats are 8-1 ATS in their last nine after an ATS loss and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 after a straight-up loss. Montana State is 14-6 ATS in their last 20 Wednesday games and the over is 4-0 in their last four Wednesday games.
There’s not a whole heck of a lot to like about Idaho right now; the team does have some decent scorers but that doesn’t help when you're getting drilled all game on defense.
Montana State won both matchups between these teams this season 77-67 and 86-72. Even though MTST has been skidding this year, I don’t see a whole lot of reasons to think they won’t get another big win here. I’m going Bobcats.
