Saturday college basketball action pits the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks against the Montana State Bobcats.

The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks were denied a third straight win in an 86-73 loss against Eastern Washington on Saturday as a one point home favorite.

Northern Arizona kicked off the season painfully slow and showed some improvement late but are still 8thin the Big Sky standings.

Carlos Hines was the star of the game with a 32 point effort followed by Cameron Shelton with 13 points and four boards.

Jonathan Andre gave the Lumberjacks ten points and 16 rebounds followed Brooks DeBisschop with five points and nine rebounds.

The Montana State Bobcats are looking to get back in the win column after suffering an 89-83 defeat at the Montana Grizzlies.

Montana State soared to a spot in the top four  with four consecutive wins but need to end a two game skid to stay there.

The balanced Bobcats saw 23 points and four assists from Tyler Hall with Keljin Blevins adding 20 points, eight rebounds and four helpers.

Montana State received 19 points and five boards from Harald Frey followed Ladan Ricketts who tossed in another ten points.
