Thursday NCAA college basketball pits the Murray State Racers against the Marquette Golden Eagles.

The Murray State Racers punched their ticket to the Big Dance with a 77-65 upset of the Belmont Bruins in the Ohio Valley championship game.

JA Morant put the Racers on his shoulders with a monster 36 point performance to go along with seven boards and three helpers.

Murray State saw 12 points and nine rebounds from Tevin Brown with Darnell Cowart tossing in eleven followed by KJ Williams with nine points and eleven rebounds.

The Marquette Golden Eagles stumbled to the finish line with four straight defeats and were ousted from the Big East playoffs 81-79 by Seton Hall.

Sam Hauser was the Golden Eagles go to scorer with 22 points and nine rebounds with Markus Howard netting 21 point on 1-15 shooting and 18-24 at the line.

Joey Hauser gave Marquette 12 points and six boards while Sacar Anim tossed in ten points and Ed Marrow added seven points and eight rebounds.

Murray State Racers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win and  are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and  are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 non-conference games and  are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.

Marquette Golden Eagles are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games and  are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 NCAA Tournament games and  are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 neutral site games.

I think Murray State is capable of an upset if Morant is his typical self and gets some production from his supporting cast…

Pick:
Murray State +4

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
