The North Dakota State Bison and the Omaha Mavericks will meet up in college basketball action on Wednesday.
North Dakota State enters this one with a 6-9 record overall. Over their last four games, the Bison are 2-2, taking out Northland and South Dakota but falling to Montana and Fort Wayne in that span.
In the Mastodons game, the Bison were led by Jared Samuelson with 17 points, four rebounds and one assist. Tyson Ward also had a nice game there for ND State on 16 points, nine rebounds and two assists.
Over on the Omaha side, they’re 7-8 on the year. The Mavericks had a three-game win streak going versus UCSB, Rice and Denver but lost their last game versus Oral Roberts.
In the Golden Eagles game, Omaha’s JT Gibson led the team on 21 points, eight assists and three rebounds. Zach Jackson was close behind for the Mavs with 19 points and seven rebounds in that one.
The Bison are 17-36-2 ATS in their last 55 road games and 7-16-1 ATS in their last 24 overall. ND State is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 versus the Summit.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 following an ATS loss. Omaha is 1-4 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven versus the Summit.
The Bison certainly have some talent on their squad, and when so motivated they can put up decent points totals. That said, they haven’t been all that consistent lately.
As for Omaha, they’ve coughed up a total of 171 points over their last two games, but on the whole have been scoring well in most of their games.
I’m likely going to stick with the Mavericks offense to get it done here.
