The Maryland Terrapins and the Nebraska Cornhuskers will meet up in college basketball action on Wednesday.

Maryland enters this one with a 17-6 mark on the year. The Terrapins are just 1-3 over their last four games, beating Northwestern while falling to Michigan State, Illinois and Wisconsin in that span.

In the loss to the Badgers, Maryland’s top scorer was Eric Ayala, with 18 points, two rebounds and two assists. Bruno Fernando doubled up for the Terrapins in that one with 13 points and 10 rebounds of his own.

Over on the Nebraska side, they’re 13-9 this season. The Huskers have lost their last five games, dropping to Michigan State, Rutgers, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Illinois during that time.

In the loss to Illinois, Nebraska’s James Palmer led the team on 22 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Tanner Borchardt managed a double-double for the Badgers there with 12 points and 18 rebounds.

The Terrapins are 6-1 ATS in their last seven following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss. Maryland is 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games and the over is 9-4 in their last 13 overall.

Meanwhile, the Cornhuskers are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games. Nebraska is 0-5 ATS in their last five overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five versus the Big Ten.

Maryland had a 36-31 road lead on a revitalized and dangerous Wisconsin team, but put up a 38-25 deficit in the second half en route to the 69-61 loss. It wasn’t quite as ugly as the Terrapins’ 78-67 defeat at home to a bad Illini squad, but it was somewhere in the realm.

The good news for Maryland is that Nebraska simply isn’t very good, and the Badgers have put up just 111 points across their last two home outings (not to mention the fact that they’re super cold ATS lately). I have no faith in Maryland right now, but if they want to get back on track they need a BIG win here. I’ll go Terrapins but I don’t necessarily like it.
