Missouri State Bears (3-0) at Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-0)
|Date & Time||Monday November 19, 2018, 7:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: Nebraska Cornhuskers -14.5 -- Over/Under: 139.5
The Missouri State Bears will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Sprint Center on Monday in college basketball activity.
The Bears come in here at 3-0 on the young season. Missouri State opened up with an 84-50 win over Oral Roberts, then took out Robert Morris 74-60 before beating Stetson 83-70.
In the Stetson game, Missouri State’s Keandre Cook led the team on 20 points and eight rebounds, and Jarred Dixon provided 18 points and five boards. Kabir Mohammed nearly doubled up on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Over on the Nebraska side, they’re 3-0 this season as well. The Cornhuskers posted a 106-37 blowout over MS Valley in the first game and followed that up with an 87-35 win over SE LA.
In Wednesday’s game versus Seton Hall, Nebraska took a dominant 80-57 win. Tops in scoring for the Cornhuskers in that game was James Palmer with 29 points and six rebounds, while Isaac Copeland hit a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bears are 7-2 ATS in their last nine non-conference games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 neutral-site games. MO State is 6-14 ATS in their last 20 overall and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 following an ATS loss.
Meanwhile, Nebraska is 1-6 ATS in their last seven neutral-site games and 0-7 ATS in their last seven versus Missouri Valley. The Cornhuskers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Monday games and 22-5 ATS in their last 27 overall.
Missouri State will be playing here after an eight-day layoff, so if nothing else they’ll be well-rested. Aside from that, the Bears have taken care of business so far and looked pretty good doing it.
Still, I don’t think the Bears are quite ready to challenge Nebraska for anything quite yet, so I’m going with the Huskers here.
