The New Mexico State Aggies take the hardwood Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros in the WAC college basketball semifinals.

The Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros jumped to an early lead and coasted past the Cal. State-Bakersfield Roadrunners in the WAC quarterfinals.

Tyron Smith topped the Vaqueros with 19 points and two steals with Greg Bowie II tossing in another 16 points while Terry Winn III added 14 points and three yanks.

Javon Levi and Jordan Jackson gave Texas Rio Grande eleven points each and a combined 12 rebounds with Lesley Varner II chipping in with eight points.

The New Mexico State Aggies walloped the Chicago State Cougars as a 27 point favorite on Thursday to reserve their spot in the semifinals.

The Aggies saw 14 points and six boards from Eli Chuha followed by Terrell Brown who tossed in 13 points and logged three yanks.

New Mexico State received eleven points from CJ Bobbitt while Ivan Aurrecoechea and Johnny McCants netted seven and six points.
