MWC college basketball action pits the Fresno State Bulldogs against the New Mexico Lobos.
The Fresno State Bulldogs have been playing well with wins in four of five after a 65-63 victory against Boise State on Wednesday.
The normally potent offense of Fresno State was held in check but the equally stout defense was able to pick up the slack.
Braxton Huggins was the Bulldogs top gun with 26 points and three yanks with Nate Grimes adding 13 points and hauling in 15 rebounds.
Deshon Taylor gave Fresno State eleven points followed by Noah Blackwell who contributed another ten points.
The New Mexico Lobos are coming off of a 92-60 rout of visiting San Jose State on Wednesday as a 15 point favorite.
New Mexico has usually been able to score but their problems have been on the defensive end of the floor but the Spartans couldn’t take advantage.
The balanced Lobos saw 20 points and four pulls from Keith McGee followed by Corey Manigault added 17 points and six boards.
