MEAC college basketball on Monday pits the North Carolina A&T Aggies against the Norfolk State Spartans.

The North Carolina A&T Aggies remained hot with an 85-81 victory at Howard on Saturday night as a 3.5 point underdog.

North Carolina A&T has won three in a row and are sitting second in the conference with a realistic shot at taking over first.

Ronald Jackson led a balanced Aggies attack with 16 points and seven boards with Milik Gantz adding 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Amari Hamilton gave North Carolina A&T 13 points followed by Ibrahim Sylla and Aaren Edmead with ten points apiece and a combined eight boards.

The Norfolk State Spartans outlasted North Carolina Central 75-71 in overtime on Saturday as a 4.5 point home favorite.

Norfolk State has won consecutive contests to maintain their grip on first place in the conference with the regular season coming to a close soon.

Derrik Jamerson JR. carried the Spartans with 23 points and five pulls while CJ Kelly netted another 19 points and posted five pulls.

NSU saw ten points and three yanks from Alex Long followed by Steven Whitley with five points, seven rebounds and six helpers.

Both teams are fighting for first in the MEAC so I'm expecting a tight battle that Norfolk State eventually wins...

Pick:
North Carolina A&T +4.5

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
