Lipscomb at North Alabama
|Date & Time||Friday March 1, 2019, 7:00 PM (EST)|
North Alabama Lions +14 O/U: 147
The Lipscomb Bisons and the North Alabama Lions will match up in college basketball action on Friday.
Lipscomb rolls into this one at 22-6 on the season. The Bisons are 2-2 in the last four games, dropping to Liberty and FGCU while taking out Kennesaw State and NJIT in that time.
In the win over the Highlanders, Lipscomb’s lead scorer was Garrison Mathews on 32 points with six rebounds. Matt Rose (12 points) and Kenny Cooper (11 points; five assists) also finished in double-figures for the Bisons in that one.
Over on the North Alabama side, they’re 10-20 on the year. The Lions are also 2-2 in the last four games, falling to Liberty and Stetson with wins over Kennesaw State and Jacksonville.
In the win over the Dolphins, North Alabama guard Tavon King put up 24 points with two assists to lead the team. Emanuel Littles led the Lions rebounding on 14 boards and five points, and Kendall Stafford chipped in 12 rebounds with six points and four assists.
Lipscomb is 7-0 ATS in their last seven Friday games and 25-9-1 ATS in their last 35 road games. The Bisons are 0-4 ATS in their last four after an ATS loss and 0-5 ATS in their last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Lions are 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall and 6-2 ATS in their last eight versus the Atlantic Sun. North Alabama is 4-1 ATS in their last five versus a team with a winning straight-up record and the under is 8-3 in their last 11 after an ATS win.
Lipscomb owned the Lions the last time these teams met up, as the Bisons secured a 102-80 home victory back on February 2. That said, Lipscomb has had a couple of stinker outings over their last four, scoring just 127 points across their last two losses.
Does that mean the Bisons are an any danger here? I’d say no; they should get their mojo back and I’m comfortable taking Lipscomb on the cover.
