Mercer has won 3 of their last 5 games and has been solid on both ends of the court as they rank 143rd in scoring offense, 85th in FG%, and 157th in scoring defense. UNC Greensboro has won 11 of their last 12 games and comes into this game ranked 82nd in scoring offense & 47th in scoring defense.
UNC Greensboro is one of the best teams in the Southern Conference however, Mercer is a solid team in their own right and is certainly a team that the Spartans shouldn’t overlook. Mercer’s defense is good enough to give the UNC Greensboro offense some trouble and as Mercer seems to always play their best against better competition, I’m taking the Bears and the points in this one.
