The Clemson Tigers and the NC State Wolfpack will match up on the college basketball court Saturday.

Clemson enters this matchup with an 11-7 mark on the season. The Tigers are 1-4 in their last five outings, beating Georgia Tech while falling to Duke, Syracuse, Virginia and Florida State in that stretch.

In the loss to Florida State, Clemson’s Aamir Simms led the team’s scoring with 18 points and five rebounds. Elijah Thomas doubled up for the Tigers there with 17 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, and Marcquise Reed added 16 points.

Over on the NC State side, they’re 15-4 on the season right now. The Wolfpack are 2-3 over their last five games, beating Pitt and Notre Dame but falling to North Carolina, Wake Forest and Louisville in that span.

In the loss to Louisville, NC State’s top scorer was Braxton Beverly, with 19 points, three assists and one rebound, while CJ Bryce chipped in 15 points with nine rebounds and two assists for the Wolfpack there.

Clemson is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 after an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games. The Tigers are 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the ACC.

Meanwhile, the Wolfpack are 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the ACC. The over is 4-1 in NC State’s last five home games versus a team with a losing road record and the under is 11-5 in their last 16 home games.

The Tigers’ recent record looks pretty ugly, but to their credit they’ve gone up against some pretty stout teams during their recent games and had some difficult road draws.

As for NC State, they’re coming home after a tough three-game road stretch and should play pretty well here. I’m going to stick with the Wolfpack on the cover.
