Virginia has rebounded from their lost at Duke with two impressive 23+ point victories over Wake Forest & Duke. The Cavaliers have an efficient offense that ranks 33rd in FG% and once again have arguably the best defense in all of College Basketball as they currently rank 1st in scoring defense & 4th in defensive FG%. NC State has split their last six games and have been led by their offense that currently ranks 10th in scoring offense, 18th in FG%, and 26th in 3P-FG%.
This is going to be a fun game to watch as the high-paced offense of the Wolfpack face off against the tough Virginia defense. NC State generally is a tough team to play at PNC Arena, however, if there is one team that I’m confident doesn’t get fazed by big games and tough road environments, it would be the Cavaliers. Virginia does a great job of disturbing their opponents pace of play and as I think the Wolfpack is going to struggle on the offensive end against the Cavaliers, I’m going to take Virginia to cover this large road spread.
