The Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the NC State Wolfpack meet in ACC college basketball action from the PNC Arena on Sunday evening.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will look to build on a 75-68 win over Notre Dame as 11.5-point underdogs in their last outing. Brandon Childress led the Demon Deacons with 20 points including 5 threes with team-highs of 8 assists and 7 rebounds along with 3 steals. Olivier Sarr added 14 points with a pair of blocks while Jaylen Hoard added 10 points to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Wake Forest in the win. Childress leads Wake Forest with an average of 14.7 points and 4.2 assists per game while Hoard leads the Demon Deacons in rebounding with 8.1 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Wake Forest is averaging 68.7 points per game on 40% shooting, 30.4% from behind the arc and 72.5% from the foul line this season.

The NC State Wolfpack will look to build on an 89-80 overtime win over Boston College in their last outing. Devon Daniels led the Wolfpack with 19 points along with 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the double-double while Torin Dorn and C.J. Bryce each had 17 points with Dorn adding 7 rebounds. Braxton Beverly added 15 points with 4 threes and 3 assists while DJ Funderburk added 11 points to round out the scoring in double figures for NC State in the winning effort. Markell Johnson added 5 points with 4 assists of his own in the victory. Dorn leads NC State with an average of 14 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while Johnson leads the Wolfpack in assists with 4.3 assists per game this season. As a team, NC State is averaging 81.9 points per game on 47.1% shooting from the field, 36.6% from behind the arc and 70.6% from the foul line this season.

Wake Forest is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 9-23 ATS in their last 32 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 9-3 in their last 12 games following a win. NC State is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Wake Forest is 11-23-1 ATS in the last 35 meetings between these two teams and 1-5-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams at NC State.

NC State should rightfully be favored here as they’re the better team in this matchup, but this is a lot of points to lay in my opinion, considering that NC State hasn’t really been blowing teams away during conference play and that the first meeting between these two teams was decided by just four points. I’ll take a shot with Wake Forst and the points in this one in the hopes that the Demon Deacons show up for this game.

Wake Forest +17.5
