North Carolina A&T Aggies -1 O/U: 132.5
The North Carolina Central Eagles and the North Carolina A&T Aggies will match up on the college basketball court Friday in the MEAC Tournament.
NC Central is currently sitting at 16-15 overall. The Eagles rolled against Delaware State in their tournament game on Thursday, taking a big 75-57 win over the Hornets to move on.
In the win over the Hornets, North Carolina Central’s Randy Miller led the team with 18 points, five rebounds and one assist. Zacarry Douglas added 12 rebounds with nine points and one assist for the Eagles in that one as well.
Over on the North Carolina A&T side, they’re 19-12 this year. The Aggies have won their last five straight games, including an 82-79 victory over Coppin State in the first round of the tournament Wednesday.
In the OT win over Coppin State, the Aggies were led by Ronald Jackson’s 21 points and 14 rebounds. Both Terry Harris and Quavius Copeland added 14 points, and combined for 10 rebounds for the Aggies in that one.
The Eagles are 5-1-2 ATS in their last eight overall and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 neutral-site games. North Carolina Central is 18-7-2 ATS in their last 27 versus the MEAC and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Friday games.
Meanwhile, the Aggies are 4-11 in their last 15 neutral-site games and the under is 6-1 in their last seven after an ATS loss. The under is 5-1 NC A&T’s last six overall and 5-1 in their last six versus the MEAC.
The Eagles had very little trouble with Delaware State (as expected) on Thursday, outscoring the Hornets 44-28 in the first half and never looking back afterward. It was a nice win, but frankly the Hornets just aren’t good.
In the last matchup between these teams, NC A&T took it 78-69, and I don’t think this one will be that much different—despite the Aggies having a little trouble with Coppin State. Give me the Aggies here.
